Katy Perry Looks Like Zooey Deschanel

I’m astounded at how much these two broads look alike. In case you don’t know who they are, Katy Perry is this girl. She is a 23 year old pop singer with the current top 40 hit entitled “I Kissed a Girl”. Zooey Deschanel is this girl. She is a 28 year old actress who was in Elf and, most recently, The Happening.
STOP! DO NOT go look up pictures of them. Stick with the images contained in the links above, because otherwise you might come across the pictures in my post and ruin the whole game. And don’t click “see all photos” on Zooey’s IMDB page. Just use the pictures on the front page for reference.
We’re going to play a little game called “Katy or Zooey?” This may seem like a pretty dumb “Perez-Hilton”-esque post, but I am just taken aback by how much they physically resemble each other. You will be too.
Here’s how to play. Study the pair of pictures and determine which one is Katy and which one is Zooey. If you are struggling, just remember the clues you know thus far:
- One’s an actress and one’s a musician
- One’s 4 1/2 years older than the other one
I don’t know how those will help you at all. The Answer key is in the comments so you don’t accidentally scroll down and see them in the post.

If you got them all right, you spend too much time looking up hot chicks on the Internet and should probably take it easy for a while. I say that because I'm a sore loser and I want my game to be difficult.
I got them all right. And I'm a girl who is not looking up hot chicks on the Internet. I do think they look so much alike, I always have to rethink when I see them on things because Im not sure who I'm seeing. Katy just has a certain style sometimes that I could just tell it was her in the pics. But otherwise It is hard for me to tell. I saw Katy singing on something & seriously wasn't sure if it was her. Does Zooey sing? I thought possibly but that freaks me out.

zooey is so cute! she's herself, katy is just a record company creation. katy was very different before 'i kissed a girl' – but that song helped her make it big, because of the song and her sexualization. x
I got them all right. I am a girl and think they are both hot. I've seen more of Katy though, only recently saw Zooey in a film. I think they do look similar, but also different, I definitely recognised some of the Katy pics, even though I haven't actually looked up pics of either of them a lot… or maybe I do just just spend too much time looking up hot chics on the net! haha
really this game is too easy, katy perry has big boobs, zooey has small boobs. It's really as simple as staring at cleavage.

I am also a girl and I got them all right. The first time I saw Zooey was in Elf and I loved her. I can now recognize her style and presence anywhere. Also, Zooey sings; she's in a band called She and Him. They aren't pop, like Katy Perry, but have an alternative music style that is quite original and good.
I got them all right, but not because I look up hot chicks on the internet or whatever. I know which one Katy because I was a big fans of hers for a time, and thus know all of those Katy pictures you showed me. xD
Lol guess I should take up the hot chicking looking a little less cause I was correct on all of them although it was difficult but I kind of went a little more off looking at their styles of clothing and such. FUN!!

#2, 4 and 5 were the most difficult, methinks.
I was expecting a post about either how bad the song is or how overplayed it is. And for that, I score 0/8.
I decided it was best not to get into the Katy Perry song. I wouldn’t have even brought it up except for the fact that it’s really the only way you would know who I was talking about.
Katy’s not gay. Girls can kiss girls and not be gay. Guys cannot kiss guys and not be gay. The same way that a 15 year old boy who loses his virginity is a “player” while a 15 year old girl who loses it is a “slut”.
I understand that girls and guys are completely different animals, but that still does not excuse this type of thinking that is infiltrating society and teaching kids sexual promiscuity at a young age. Future blog post.

well for the record they are both musicians…zooey is a part of the duo she and him…and uh…the so-called quiz was pretty easy…because katy dresses sluttier than zooey…they were both recently on FNMTV at the same time and I thought they were the same person…
Shoot. I failed to realize the slut factor. Next time I’ll have to do busts instead of full body shots to further increase difficulty. If any two people ever resemble each other this freakishly again, that is.

OMG! I cant believe how much they look alike… When I actually saw the ‘I kissed a girl’ video I though that it was Zooey and I was telling everyone that it was the actor from ‘The Happening’… I got everyone of the pics right, Zooey has smaller boobs that Katy… and she dresses differently…
I wonder if they know that they look the same lol…

When i first saw zooey in yes man i thought that she was katy perry they look so much alike!!!
The one on the right in #5 is Taryn Manning, not either one of them…but she looks a lot like them too, in that picture at least!
THe pic on the right in #5 is not Taryn Manning its Zooey with M.Ward in their musical partnership "She and Him" performing live.
I was wondering when someone was going to point that out. I took for granted that all of these images were labeled correctly in Google Images. But this proves that I’m not the only one mixing people up!
Since i first saw Katy I’ve thought that she looks like combo of Zooey Deschanel AND Emily Blunt.

i was able to tell them apart for all of them, but mostly cause i recognized the zooey pictures from magazines and such.

they also have a kooky sense of style.
this is almost like how when jewel and renee zellweger got famous around the same time and people would confuse them. then renee got mad skinny and more famous so it became less difficult.
or how chad smith (the drummer for red hot chili peppers) and will ferrell look exactly alike, but now chad’s bald, so it’s not hard to tell them apart.
difference is Renee Zellweger looks like she licked a lemon…
Yep!!!!! I knew Zooey from a lot of her movies… Then i saw Katy perry.. and just though to myself.. it was weird that she had changed her name.. But still.. She was different.. So i looked up.. And my jaw dropped!! LOL!!!!

I GOT A PERFECT 8/8 mostly because yes, I spend way too much time looking up hot girls on the net hahaha. But yeah, the resemblance between these two girls is AH-MAZING. I always thought they looked alike too! It’s so funny and cool to find more people who noticed this too.
OH AND to Nicole: OMG I knowwwww I totally thought Katy Perry, Zooey Deschanel AND EMILY BLUNT are the look-alike combo. They are 3 absolutely stunningly beautiful and talented women. I’m in love.

It’s the eyes. wider shots it’s not so obvious, but where you can see their eyes they look like twins- I even landed on this page because I googled them to see if they were related. The second I went on KP’s website I thought “that’s the bird from Hitch Hikers”.
8/8… I was on a music website and I saw the picture of Katy Perry on #4 and was like \Who the hell is Katy? Your name is Zooey…\ I ended up here after I googled them. While I’ve seen Zooey enough times to know the difference, if I hadn’t seen the #4 picture in that article, I would have been stumped.

when i had saw katy perry in the gym class heroes music video, i used to always think it was the actress! hahaha.
although i can tell them a part easily in the photos- mainly because of the settings they’re in, i think in number 4 they can pass as the same person, or twins.
even though i do know katy is A and zooey is B, but still- they look exactly the same in those two.
Nice 8/8…. Their different styles make it a bit easier. but it’s great to know I wasn’t the only one who noticed a huge similarity between the 2. I was actually very confused between them cuz they are both musicians who came out around the sametime before figuring everything out . I’ve seen a couple of She and Him videos but didn’t like the music so I didn’t think much of it. Couple weeks later I saw Katy Perry’s video and as it started to get bigger and overplayed I started to think of how Katy resembles the lead singer of “She and Him” and also the sister in Almost Famous who happens to be Zooey Deschanel. Though I wasn’t too familiar with Zooey’s work I just kept thinking man this girl has been around showbiz for a while cuz Almost Famous came out about 8 years ago. Now she’s a pop sensation in a group called “She and Him” and a solo artist. It wasn’t till I googled Katy Perry and the group She and Him to get the truth. These girls confused the crap outta me cuz they look so alike. Whatever though I think both are hot as hell and I hope to see both of them around for a while. =D
and for #5 on the right I really don’t see any resemblence to Taryn Manning…I’m pretty sure that’s Zooey Deschanel. unless there’s proof

I hate that these girls look so much like either other, since I find one of them adorable/awesome and the other repulsive. I’m afraid one day I’ll be ogling a picture of one and realize it’s the other, and I’ll throw up like when you think a chick is hot and she turns around and it turns out it’s a dude.

You know, actually this wasn’t all that hard. All you have to do is look at their character, look in their eyes. One puts on a facade of false confidence and forced sensuality. The other is Zooey, who clearly exhibits those traits genuinely and honestly.
