1st Step Towards World Domination: Ban Harmless Phrases

You can’t say “I don’t know” in Megion, a town in Russia that produces more oil than the rest of Russia combined. I’m serious, you can’t say it. Even if you really don’t know. You also can’t say any of the following phrases:

“What can we do?”
“It’s not my job”
“It’s impossible”
“I’m having lunch”
“There is no money”
“I [...]

Why I’m Scared Of Iran

Posted by The Gimcracker in News, Theory & Philosophy on 10. Jul, 2007 | Comments

A man and woman were just stoned to death in Iran, according to this FoxNews.com article, and it wasn’t carried out by a few outraged villagers wielding pitchforks as I had previously envisioned it. Iran’s government confirmed that they were responsible for stoning the man as punishment for adultery. I’m dumbfounded that something like this [...]

MSNBC News Reporter Flips Out Over Paris Hilton Story

Her name is Mika Brzezinski and I am now a tremendous fan of hers. She even got her own hour-long news show because of her outburst. This is almost enough to make me start watching MSNBC… almost.

Cruise vs. Germany

Posted by The Gimcracker in Movies, News on 26. Jun, 2007 | Comments

Tom Cruise is making a new movie, and as much as I hate to admit, it sounds awesome. It’s about Col. Claus von Stauffenberg who was involved with a World War II era plot to kill Adolf Hitler and overthrow the Nazi regime. It’s called Valkyrie, it’s directed by Bryan Singer (The Usual Suspects and [...]

Finally, Bruce Willis Says It

Bruce Willis Tells Hollywood to Shut Up.
That’s right, you heard me correctly. I’m so tired of Hollywood telling people how they should live their lives, what’s right and wrong, and how much better they are than us. I mean, just read my brother’s post about Sheryl Crow’s stupidity.
Bruce, keep rocking my socks off.

Yes, those are World of Warcraft credit cards. Yes, puppies will start dying soon.
There was a time when I thought the maker of World of Warcraft had a soul. But I recently found out yet again that a corporation cannot have a soul any more than a Mac user can have respect for a PC [...]

You made it to the third set of widgets on my widget slider sidebar mechanism. There are only two reasons you could end up here: 1) because you are so into TGM that you read every word on every page, or 2) because you are trying to find something incriminating so you can hurt my reputation because I have offended you in some way (you're probably a Twitter fan boy or a Multigrain Cheerios lover). If you are here because of #2 and you want a bit of juicy gossip then here you go: I used to steal candy bars from the gift shop I worked at in the airport when I was 17 because they forged my time card to have less hours than I really worked. There's a slight chance that if you really put your mind to it and told the right people you could somehow hurt my reputation. At least I'll know that if I get a notice of a lawsuit in the mail regarding this matter that there was at least one person out there reading my blog :)
